Dehydrated Apple Chips Snacks | Quick dehydrated snacks

Bored of the same old snacks? Turn ordinary apples into an extraordinary treat with just a couple of ingredients. Sweeten thinly sliced tart apples with cinnamon and sugar, and bake for the most quintessential fall snack you’ll ever try.

Ingredients
  • 2 fresh ripe organic apples
  • ½ tbsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tbsp granulated sweetener (optional)
  • ½ bowl lemon juice

  1. Prepare your apples by cleaning and cutting off the
  2. stem part of the apples. Use a Mandolin or a sharp knife.
  3. Slice the apple uniformly into thin rounds of ¼ inch thickness.
  4. Remove the seeds, and if you wish, you may remove the peels also.
  5. In a bowl, combine the lemon juice and cold water. Stir gently.
  6. Transfer the sliced apples into the bowl containing the lemon-water mix for about 60 seconds. Gently to ensure the apples are well-coated.
  7. Completely drain the apples. Then, transfer the drained apples back into the bowl.
  8. Mix the sliced apples with the ground cinnamon. If needed, you may add any granulated sweetener of your choice.
  9. Arrange the sliced apples, preferably in a single layer, on the trays of your food dehydrator. Set the temperature to 135°F.
  10. Allow drying for about 8 hours.
  11. Store in airtight containers.
