Turkey and Spinach Meat Loaf | Commercial Dehydrators

This meat loaf is a healthier version of mom's. Not only is it made with lean ground turkey, we also snuck in some spinach.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 pound lean ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup dehydrated whole wheat breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup dehydrated spinach, crushed
  • 1/4 cup dehydrated chopped onions
  • 1/2 tablespoon powdered dehydrated tomato
  • 4 dehydrated garlic slices, crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup chile sauce

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. 2. In a small bowl, whisk the milk, egg, and Worcestershire sauce together.
  3. 3. In a large bowl, combine the turkey, breadcrumbs, spinach, onions, tomato powder, garlic, and black pepper. Knead it together until thoroughly mixed. Stir in the milk mixture until well combined. Form into a loaf and place in a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
  4. 4. In a small heatproof bowl, pour the boiling water over the chile leather. Let sit for 10 minutes, then stir to create a chile sauce. Spread the chile sauce over the meat loaf. Bake until an instant-read thermometer inserted in the center registers 160°F, about 1 hour.
