- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 pound lean ground turkey
- 1/2 cup dehydrated whole wheat breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup dehydrated spinach, crushed
- 1/4 cup dehydrated chopped onions
- 1/2 tablespoon powdered dehydrated tomato
- 4 dehydrated garlic slices, crushed
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup chile sauce
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- 2. In a small bowl, whisk the milk, egg, and Worcestershire sauce together.
- 3. In a large bowl, combine the turkey, breadcrumbs, spinach, onions, tomato powder, garlic, and black pepper. Knead it together until thoroughly mixed. Stir in the milk mixture until well combined. Form into a loaf and place in a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
- 4. In a small heatproof bowl, pour the boiling water over the chile leather. Let sit for 10 minutes, then stir to create a chile sauce. Spread the chile sauce over the meat loaf. Bake until an instant-read thermometer inserted in the center registers 160°F, about 1 hour.
