- 1 cup dehydrated sliced sweet potatoes
- 1 cup dehydrated chopped apples
- 1 tablespoon dehydrated chopped dates
- 3 cups boiling water
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup ground walnuts (do this in a food processor, not a blender)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- In a large heatproof bowl, combine the dehydrated sweet potatoes, apples, and dates and pour the boiling water over. Cover and let sit until the water has cooled. Do not drain.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray an 8-inch square baking dish withcooking spray.
- Add the brown sugar, walnuts, and butter to the rehydrated fruit and stir until well combined. Pour into the baking dish and bake until golden brown, about 50 minutes.
