- 1 cup dehydrated sliced carrots
- 5 cups water
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon dehydrated orange zest
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Combine the dehydrated carrots and water in a large saucepan, bring to a boil, cover, reduce the heat to medium-low, and simmer for 1 hour.
- Drain off any remaining water. Add the orange juice and zest, maple syrup, butter, and nutmeg to the pan, stir to combine, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes.
