- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/4 cup dehydrated sliced onions
- 2 cups dehydrated sliced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup dehydrated chopped green bell peppers
- 1/2 tablespoon crushed dehydrated chile peppers
- 1 (15-ounce) can pinto beans
- 1 (15-ounce) can red kidney beans
- 1 Tomato Puree Leather, broken into pieces
- 6 cups water
- Brown the ground beef in medium skillet over high heat until no longer pink, breaking up any clumps with a wooden spoon. Drain off any fat.
- Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to a gentle simmer and cook until thick, stirring occasionally, 45 to 60 minutes.
