Instructions
  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add the chicken and sausage and sear on all sides until nicely browned. Transfer to a 6- quart slow cooker.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients except the rice to the slow cooker, stir to combine, and cover. Cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours.
  3. Serve ladled over hot rice.
