- 1 & 1/2 cups chopped cooked chicken
- 1/2 cup dehydrated sliced carrots
- 1/2 cup dehydrated cut green beans
- 1/2 cup dehydrated chopped onions
- 6 dehydrated tomato slices
- 2 dehydrated garlic slices, crushed
- Pinch of crumbled dehydrated red chile pepper (optional)
- Pinch of dehydrated thyme
- 6 cups water
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2/3 cup uncooked orzo (rice-shaped pasta)
- Place all the ingredients except the orzo in a 6-quart slow cooker, stir to combine, and cover. Cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours.
- Stir in the orzo, cover, and cook until tender, 20 to 30 minutes.
