- Dehydrated 1/4-inch-thick apple slices with peel on
- 1 (5-ounce) candy apple coating kit, prepared according to
- package directions
- Cookie sheet lined with waxed paper
- Paper cup liners
- Decorative gift box
- Working with one slice at a time, dip the apples in the warm candy coating, then shake off as much of it as you can, so you get the thinnest possible coating. Set the apple slices on the lined cookie sheet until cool.
- Fill your gift box, putting each candy apple slice in its own paper cup. Do not stack them on top of each other. Stored in a cool, dry place, they should keep for 2 weeks.Variation: You can also use this recipe with caramel apple coating, and dip each slice in crushed nuts!
