- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 3 cups dehydrated sliced (1/4 to 3/8 inch thick) yellow summer
- squash
- 1 cup dehydrated sliced onions
- 2 cups shredded white cheddar cheese
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- 2. In a medium saucepan, bring the milk, water, butter, and flour to a boil, whisking to combine. Remove from the heat.
- 3. Arrange the dehydrated squash slices in the baking dish and top with the dehydrated onions. Sprinkle over half of the cheese. Pour the white sauce over everything, then top with the remaining cheese. Bake until bubbling and golden brown on top, about 40 minutes. Remove from the oven and let sit for 10 minutes to firm up before serving.
