Ingredients
  • 1 cup dehydrated apricot halves, cut into small pieces with kitchen
  • scissors
  • 3/4 cup (1 & 1/2 sticks) butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 & 1/2 cups rolled (old-fashioned) oats
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray a 10-inch square baking pan withcooking spray.
  2. Combine the apricots, butter, sugar, and honey in a large saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring, until the butter has melted and everything is well combined; do not let boil. Remove from the stove and stir in the oats and sesame seeds.
  3. Press the mixture evenly over the bottom of the baking pan. Bake until golden brown on top, 20 to 25 minutes. Remove from the oven, let cool completely on a wire rack, and cut into 2 x 4-inch bars.
